This swanky family-owned Mihingo Safari Lodge is one of the few magical places of stay in Lake Mburo National Park, western side and so far the smallest savannah Park in the country. It is sited high on a huge rock kopje, believed to be pre-Cambrian granite bounders dating back to 500 million years ago.

Given the location of this environmentally friendly Lodge (high on rock bounder), guests are provided with riveting views over the sweeping savannah landscape. When it comes to the Lodge’s beautiful designs, it is magically decorated to blend so well with its natural surroundings in addition to offering comfort, refreshment as well as an exceptional experience of being closer to Mother Nature. By simply standing on the Rocks, visitors have the once in a lifetime opportunity of seeing the rarest of animals that include Klipspringers, Oribis and giraffes among others.

This luxurious Lodge offers 12 opulent Tented Rooms, beautifully designed to offer visitors with seclusion and serenity. Each of its rooms is carefully designed to blend into the local environment and has an individual allure and character, whether it is hidden in the woody forest, facing the Lake, down by the water hole or perched on a Rocky outcrop.

For this reason, don’t expect two rooms to be the same although spectacular views are expected. Some of the in-room amenities include en-suite bathrooms with cold/warm water, flush eco-toilets and showers. Additionally, the doorways are made of beautiful pieces of strong Olive wood that goes to the ground.

A number of the rooms are magically incorporated into the granite bounders designed on the bathrooms. Being an environmentally friendly accommodation facility, it is solar-powered and every room features a solar-powered water heater. There are buffalo waterhole rooms down the savannah plains, close to the water thus allowing travellers to get closer to Mother Nature.

There is an infinity swimming pool at Mihingo Safari Lodge and it overlooks the beautiful Valley where giant elands, Cape buffaloes, bushbucks, Rothschild giraffes, zebras, warthogs and many others.

Meals are enjoyed from the spacious dining/restaurant area made of local building materials and also overlooks some of the spectacles of Lake Mburo National Park especially rock kopjes, animals (buffaloes, bushbucks, Impalas and many others). There is a lounge area for relaxing with cool air after a long day of game driving, walking safari, horseback rides or birding in Lake Mburo National Park.

There is also a small bar with different kinds of beers, spirits, wines, gins, champagne and soft drinks.
