1 Day Lake Kivu Trip

An early pick up in Kigali and start drive to Rubavu passing via Musanze enjoying the beautiful panoramic views and scenery. Lake Kivu one of Africa’s great lakes found in Rubavu Gisenyi town is located along the border between the Democratic Republic of Congo and Rwanda.
It is also located in the Albertine Rift the western part of the East African Rift. Lake Kivu empties into Ruzizi River which flows southwards into Lake Tanganyika in Tanzania. You will have an opportunity to go the border and see what happens there.
Thereafter proceed to Lake Kivu where you could choose to take part in the various water activities like; kayaking, windsurfing, sport fishing, hiking, and biking along the shores among others. After lunch you will relax at the beach and later start your journey back to Kigali.
